| Animal Hospital |
| This project involves the renovation as well as new construction for the animal hospital, located at the edge of the Potsdamer Forest. The clinic has outgrown the small historical villa by Persius, and needs to expand. The nearby existing buildings, constructed before German Unification which contained the stalls and operating rooms, no longer meet today’s technical standards. |
One of the existing buildings will be retained and upgraded; the others will be demolished and replaced by new construction. An extension of the existing building will accommodate the technical rooms, and within the wing the offices, meeting room, and personnel rooms will be located.
| The design of the new buildings seeks to create an ensemble which reflects the character of the Persius villa, but does not seek to imitate it or compete with it. |
