The small prefabricated bungalow was constructed in the 1960’s. The structural system would not allow for the building out of the roof space, therefore a small, two-storey addition was planned to replace the winter garden in the back.

The addition contains the new living room, and the new master bedroom with en-suite bath and walk-in closet are located above.

The construction system is a combination of timber and concrete, with large sliding glass doors on both levels. The connecting staircase is expressed as its own form with a metal clad exterior.
